Story:
I made this map for the Richmond District Neighborhood Center (RDNC) in consultation with a few friends who know the Richmond well. I wanted to capture the important features of the area including the beaches, Golden Gate Park, and the lively centers of the Richmond. For the color scheme I tried to create something that would capture the pastel color of the homes on a foggy afternoon.
Color:
I started with Foggy as the color scheme that reminds me most of the Richmond, and have since added a couple more color schemes (Lands End and Clement). Please contact me about custom color requests.
Size:
Prints currently available in 8x24 and 12x36--these sizes include a .25" white border. Please contact me to discuss different sizes.
Note on the Process:
This is a digitally made GIS-map using data from the City of San Francisco. Each map is locally printed using archival toner ink on 10 mil ultra-smooth matte poster paper, which produces a brighter color and smoother texture.
Shipping:
I hand-check each map for flaws and will personally package and ship with shipping insurance within 1 week of ordering (please allow additional time for custom color scheme requests).
