Manhattan Grid

This Map's Story:
I made this map per request from my girlfriend who grew up in Manhattan and wanted a map to capture the perfection of the NYC street grid. The map is centered around Manhattan's most defining feature: Central Park. The surrounding boroughs and Jersey are included for reference, but left without detail to focus attention on Manhattan.

Color:
I made the color schemes for this map using familiar characteristics of the city -- taxis, cocktails, pavement. Please contact me about custom color requests.
Size:
Prints available in 10x18 (for hanging without a frame) and 12x18 or 20x30 (for framing) -- 10x18 includes a .25 inch white border, 12x18 and 20x30 have a .25 inch white border on top/bottom and a 1.25/2.25 (respectively) inch white border on left/right.

Note on the Process:
This is a digitally made GIS-map using data from the NYC Department of City Planning, and made in consultation with Claire C. Adams. Each map is locally printed using archival toner ink on 120lb paper with a matte finish. The 20x30 sizes are printed on 10 mil ultra-smooth matte poster paper, which produces a brighter color and smoother texture.

Shipping:
I hand-check each map for flaws and will personally package and ship with shipping insurance within 1 week of ordering (please allow additional time for custom color scheme requests).
